It's been set! Basic Soldering Class - August 30th

Lately, I've had a lot of emails asking when my next soldering class would be held, or if I planned to teach more soldering classes. (I used to teach a basic soldering class at The Pad as part of my Beyond the Page class series.) Well, I've finally pinned down a date and have found a free Saturday to have my next Basic Soldering Class. In case you're interested in joining us, the date will be August 30th from 10am - 1pm at my home in Roanoke. In this basic class, we will cover the following:
  • Soldering Supplies (and the best places I've found to purchase them)
  • You'll have the opportunity to try out different soldering irons (to help you find the best iron for you)
  • Charm wrapping
  • Basic Soldering - we'll create two 1.5" charms
Attendee's won't need to bring a thing to class - I'll provide it all! Unless, of course you would like to bring 4 pieces of 1.5" art/photos to put inside of the charms we'll make in class. If you do, you'll need to make sure they are printed on plain, regular copy paper and not on photo paper. The glossy (and semi glossy) finish on photo paper is plastic and will melt under the soldering heat.

There will only be a few seats available for this class to allow for a more personal class experience. The cost for this 3 hour class is $40. You can register for my class by sending me an email (heatherales@gmail.com) and I will send you a PayPal invoice (probably sometime in the next few days).

I will also be teaching an intermediate and advanced soldering class in coming months (September and October). If these are classes you're interested in attending, please let me know so that I can keep you posted. The best way to keep posted about my classes is by subscribing to my blog. The link is over in the left hand side tool bar.

Hope to see you in class!
