Grateful...

You may not know this, but I'm very grateful for the many blessings, experiences, and opportunities I've had in my life. I've lead an unconventional life to many, but to me, it's totally normal. Because of the career path my father chose as a serviceman in the US Air Force, I've been blessed to participate and see lists of incredible and historic events in real life rather than in history books.

Because of the paths I chose to take my life down (some fantastic paths, some incredibly painful paths), I've experienced many other unusual experiences.

I realized today that although I don't to ever go through some of those experiences again, I am grateful that I did. Through those experiences, I am who I am today. Also because of the lessons I've learned, I'm able to share my experiences with others so that they (hoepfully) won't repeat the same mistake I did.

If I don't take the time to write down the things I'm thankful for, and if I'm not more mindful of the lessons I've learned - I'm probably doomed to repeat them.

They say that it only takes 21 days of repeated actions to create a new habit. So, today I'm going to start creating a new habit. I think I'll call it my "21 Days to Grateful" project. I'll create a journal, and for the next 21 days will create an entry about things I'm grateful for. Stay tuned - tommorrow I'll share the first images of my journal.

What are you grateful for?
