Bummer....

Well, this weekend has ended up a big bummer. Well, it didn't turn out like I had hoped anyway. You see, I had planned to go and visit my fun friend, Cindy Curtis, and get to attend one of her crops, Ready-Set-Crop, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. I was also going to get to visit my CKU-A Dallas Dorm Mate, and fellow Scrapbook Idol, Jonna.

However, the weather had other plans. My flight (can you believe the flight is less than 45 minute long??) was cancelled due to the ice storms in Fort Smith. I'd been packed for two days, and was totally bummed. I had such high hopes for my scrapbooking mojo to come alive again. But, alas, it was not meant to be this weekend.

On the upside though, it was a double coupon weekend at Albertsons, up to $2 per coupon. Yes, I've been bitten by the coupon bug. My coworker and friend, Cindy, is a coupon queen. She regularly saves a HUGE amount of money. She's been giving me "coupon lessons" and I have so been eating up every tip she has for me. So, the positive side of the weekend is that our pantry and freezer is packed. I spent a chunk, but I saved a huge chunk.

I did get a ray of sunshine in my weekend though! I received a FUN package from Jessica, our DT leader with Maya ROad. She sent me THE cutest gift! It's an altered ice cream container full of chocolates! Yumm! Chocolate makes EVERYTHING better! I'll have to share a photo of it later tommorrow. Super cute though!

I managed to get a few loads of laundry finished, and our Sunday dinner on the table. Today we had a thick and hearty beef stew, with homemade bread. Steve requested rice krispy treats, so we had those but made out of fruity pebbles.

Too bad I didn't get much done in my studio! My goal was to start the purge. Well, I did get started on the grand purge, but I didn't get very far. Hmmm maybe if I get off of the computer, I could work on purging.

Off to purge I go!
